Players from the 2023 NBA Draft class have begun securing significant contract extensions. While several top prospects, including Brandon Miller and Scoot Henderson, are being identified as potential candidates for future high-value deals, specific players have already finalized agreements.

Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George signed a five-year extension valued at $157.5 million, which keeps him with the franchise through the 2031-32 season. This follows a breakout third season for George, who averaged 23.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game. Jazz basketball operations president Austin Ainge described George as an “integral part of this franchise’s future.” Jazz Governor Ryan Smith expressed optimism regarding the team, stating, “the best is ahead of us,” while head coach Will Hardy noted that George has not yet reached his full potential.

As the 2026-27 NBA season approaches, the trend of high-value extensions has continued. Victor Wembanyama secured a five-year, $252 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs. Additionally, the Thompson twins have reached major agreements: Amen Thompson of the Houston Rockets signed a five-year extension worth $208 million, opting for 21% of the salary cap, while his brother, Ausar Thompson of the Detroit Pistons, secured a five-year deal worth $155 million.
