The Spanish Higher Sports Council (CSD) has announced the winners of the 2025 National Sports Awards. MotoGP rider Marc Márquez has been named the winner of the King Felipe National Sports Award for best male athlete, following a dominant season in which he secured his seventh premier class world title with the Ducati factory team. This victory marked a significant comeback after years of injury struggles and surgeries.

In the female category, artistic swimmer Iris Tió will receive the Queen Letizia Award following her performance at the Artistic Swimming World Championships, where she earned six medals. Other recipients include Anastasiya Dmytriv, winner of the Princess Leonor award for best athlete under 18, cyclist Paula Ostiz, who received the King Juan Carlos award as the breakout athlete, and the Relevo Paralímpico program, which was granted the Infanta Sofía award for sports involving people with disabilities.

The awards ceremony is expected to be presided over by the King and Queen of Spain. To support the event, the CSD issued a public tender of approximately 282,830 euros for the supply and restoration of trophies and medals, including the King, Queen, and Princess of Asturias trophies.
