The 2026 Baby of the Year competition involves a tournament-style voting process where participants can cast daily free votes or donate to increase their standing. The contest provides winners with a $25,000 prize, a national advertising campaign with The Honest Company, and an advertorial in Variety magazine.

Proceeds from the competition support Baby2Baby, a California-based nonprofit that provides essential items such as diapers and clothing to children in need. The organization has received more than $45 million from the contest to date.

In late September, a family in Surrey campaigned for their six-month-old son, Aren Khazaee. By mid-October, a two-year-old from Abbotsford named Arzoi advanced to the quarter-finals after winning her division.
