The 2026 Bank of Utah Championship, also referred to as the Black Desert Championship, is being held at the Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah, from October 1 to October 4. The PGA Tour FedExCup Fall event features a 120-player field competing for a $6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points. As the tournament enters its final round on Sunday, October 4, the field includes notable players such as Tony Finau, Max Homa, Billy Horschel, Lucas Glover, Nick Taylor, and Chris Kirk. Defending champion Michael Brennan and previous winner Matt McCarty are also in contention. The final 18-hole round is scheduled for broadcast on Eurosport 2. For Utah native Tony Finau, the event remains high-stakes, as he sits at 100th on the FedExCup Fall list, which is the critical threshold for securing full PGA Tour membership for the 2027 season. The tournament is played on a par-71 Tom Weiskopf-designed course set within a desert landscape of lava fields. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-04: Black Desert Championship enters final round in Utah The Black Desert Championship PGA Tour tournament concludes on October 4 at the Black Desert Resort in Utah, featuring a field of 120 players including Tony Finau and Max Homa. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/black-desert-championship-enters-final-round-in-utah ### 2026-09-29: Bank of Utah Championship returns to Black Desert Resort in Utah The Bank of Utah Championship returns to Black Desert Resort in Utah from October 1-4, 2026, with Michael Brennan defending his title and Tony Finau fighting for his 2027 PGA Tour status. 12 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/bank-of-utah-championship-returns-to-black-desert-resort ### 2026-09-26: Bank of Utah Championship announces 2026 field and details The 2026 Bank of Utah Championship will feature a 120-player field at Black Desert Resort in Utah, offering a $6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/bank-of-utah-championship-announces-2026-field-and-details --- Cite as: 2026 Bank of Utah Championship.
