In Croatia, the City Museum of Nova Gradiška opened two free exhibitions on 23 July and 30 July to mark the 30th anniversary of the town’s flagship open-air Nova Gradiška Music Summer. The first exhibition, “Folk Costumes through Tošo Dabac’s Lens”, curated by Bojana Poljaković Popović, presented photographs of people from Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Macedonia. The second, “Ivan Hus – Violin Maker”, curated by director Rosana Škrgulja, displayed instruments and workshop items from the craftsman known as the “Zagreb Stradivari”. The multi-day event, which includes literary and art workshops for children, has attracted tens of thousands of visitors. In Italy, the national Onde Mediterranee Music Festival launched in Gradisca d'Isonzo on 30 July at the Arena del Castello, with regional programmes in Lazio, Tuscany, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. By mid-August, the season expanded further in Southeast Europe.
