The area, known locally as ‘Mogiła Chrobrego’, features two distinct burial mounds containing artifacts from Neolithic, Gothic, and early medieval Slavic periods, including gold-foil beads and skeletal remains.

In central Gdańsk, excavations at a construction site on Sukiennicza Street have revealed a 12th-century wooden church and a medieval cemetery. Notable discoveries at this location include a 700 kg granite tombstone from the 13th century and the well-preserved skeleton of a ‘knight’ within a coffin. The recovered remains and artifacts are being moved to the Archaeological Museum in Gdańsk for further analysis.
