Max Verstappen successfully completed the ‘Max vs 100’ challenge at Silverstone, overtaking all 100 competitors in the specialized Red Bull event. Starting from the 101st position on the custom 2.5 km track, the four-time Formula 1 world champion navigated through a diverse field of athletes, content creators, and celebrities in approximately 35 minutes.

As per the competition rules, any driver overtaken by Verstappen was immediately eliminated from the race. The event maintained competitive fairness through the use of identical karts equipped with a ballast system to equalize weight. The race also utilized a tactical shortcut that was available to the 100 challengers during the first half of the race, while Verstappen was only permitted access to the advantage during the final 15 laps.

The high-production spectacle, which included participants such as Spanish streamer TheGrefg, mountain biker Matt Jones, and basketball specialist Chris ‘Lethal Shooter’ Matthews, was broadcast globally via Disney+ and the ESPN app. Verstappen secured his victory by overtaking the entire field in just 13 to 14 of the scheduled 30 laps, despite navigating through significant chaos, collisions, and track obstructions during the opening laps. Reflecting on the performance, Verstappen noted that the race was “a bit chaotic, but it was a lot of fun,” marking his first victory of the year.
