Dutch non-food discounter Action is undergoing rapid expansion across Europe, supported by a business model centered on low prices and a rotating assortment of approximately 6,000 products. Following a 16 percent increase in net sales in 2025, the company reported 8.3 billion euros in revenue for the first half of 2026, a 14 percent year-on-year increase.

The retailer has grown its network to 3,423 locations across 15 countries, with plans to open at least 400 new stores in 2026 and expand into Croatia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria. To facilitate this growth, new distribution centers are being planned for Italy, Spain, and France.

In Spain, the company continues to increase its footprint, recently opening a new 807 m² facility in Getafe, Madrid. This brings its total Spanish locations to 126. Alongside its retail growth, Action has highlighted sustainability initiatives, including the use of LED lighting and responsible sourcing of materials such as Better Cotton, organic cotton, and FSC or PEFC certified wood.
