A new $22 million foster care campus named Together California has opened in Palmdale, north of Los Angeles. The facility was designed to address high rates of sibling separation within the foster care system by providing large-capacity housing.

The campus features 12 homes, including semi-detached houses with five bedrooms, capable of housing up to 72 children alongside their caregivers. The layout includes a central courtyard, gardens, a playground, and a community center. To support long-term stability, the village also provides apartments for young adults transitioning to independent living and spaces for biological parents participating in the reunification process. The project, which reportedly took approximately 18 years to develop, is expected to welcome its first residents in October.
