Local authorities in Portugal are implementing various higher education scholarship programs to support students.

In Sertã, the municipality updated its regulations to increase the total number of available scholarships to 15. The new program, which provides up to 1,000€ per academic year, features simplified digital application processes and adjusted academic requirements, such as completing at least 70% of ECTS credits rather than all subjects.

In São João Batista, located in Campo Maior, the Parish Council is offering ten scholarships valued at 75€ per month for ten months. This initiative is intended to complement existing municipal support in Campo Maior to promote equal opportunities and provide financial relief to families.
