Expanding its vision for personal computing, Qualcomm is exploring a shift toward a distributed ecosystem of AI Agents. Executive Ziad Asghar suggested that while smartphones remain central for data storage, the future involves wearables such as smart glasses, earbuds, and rings. To support this, Qualcomm is exploring the “Puck”—a pocket-sized computing hub designed to provide extra battery life and processing power, allowing wearables to offload complex AI tasks. Additionally, Qualcomm’s START program offers modular, AI-ready solutions to assist brands in developing wearable AI hardware.
