Cultural activities in Argentina have recently highlighted various forms of artistic expression, ranging from photography to documentary film.

In late September, photography events were held across the country. In Buenos Aires, Gaby Messina led a tour of her exhibition, ‘Maestros: El bosque y el árbol’, which features portraits of 112 Argentine artists over the age of 65. Meanwhile, the 4th Misiones Photographers Encounter took place in Aristóbulo del Valle, offering programs on subjects such as photojournalism, fashion photography, and the intersection of photography and artificial intelligence.

Following these events, the cultural scene shifted focus toward documentary premieres. These included the Argentine premiere of ‘Santiago Sierra – El dedo en la llaga’, a film exploring the career of Spanish artist Santiago Sierra, and the upcoming release of ‘Retrato de un pianista’, which documents the life and musical heritage efforts of Argentine pianist Antonio Formaro.
