Various regional and community events are scheduled across Germany for late 2026.

In September, reports highlight cultural and culinary gatherings, such as a cooking and culture day in Exten featuring traditional vegetable stew and historical sauerkraut preparation. Additionally, a jam market themed ‘regional and homemade’ is set for Johanniskreuz, offering fruit variety identification and woodturning demonstrations.

As the season progresses toward winter, community activities include an advent gallery exhibition in Sachsen-Anhalt and a Christmas and winter flea market hosted by the Joseph Beuys Gesamtschule in Kleve. In Sachsen-Anhalt, the BBK Sachsen-Anhalt e. V. is accepting applications for its ‘Der Kiosk, das Weihnachtsplätzchen’ advent gallery, which will run from December 6 to December 23, 2026.

Further holiday programming includes free educational activities at the Wolfsburg Christmas Market, such as Christmas fairy tale readings and workshops at the Neuland-Haus des Weihnachtsmannes from November 23 to December 29. In the Kleve district, the Kreis-Kleve-Abfallwirtschaftsgesellschaft (KKA) is organizing Christmas decoration exchange markets in municipalities like Kalkar, Rees, and Goch to encourage sustainability and waste reduction.
