Wildfires have emerged across several regions in Italy, necessitating significant emergency responses. The situation began with a fire in the Ceppagna area of Venafro, where firefighters from Isernia and regional teams from Sessano, supported by aircraft from Foggia, worked to control the flames.

By late September, the scope of the fire emergencies expanded to multiple locations. In Tarquinia, crews battled blazes in the Santa Maria area and the San Giorgio pine forest. On the Amalfi Coast, a large fire occurred between Positano and Vico Equense, with authorities investigating potential arson. Other major incidents included a fire in the coastal area of Eboli, which required the deployment of the ‘Drago’ helicopter, and a blaze on Monte Trippodi on the island of Ischia that complicated rescue efforts due to steep terrain.
