Sources: 27. Developments: 6. Italian singer Cesare Cremonini has released his tenth studio album, ‘Amateur’, via EMI/Universal Music. Recorded at Studio 13 in London and in Bologna, the eleven-track project emphasizes live instrumentation and organic sounds, featuring contributions from American saxophonist Donny McCaslin and drummer Zach Danziger. Cremonini described the project as a “musical rebirth,” intentionally avoiding modern music algorithms and AI-driven production in favor of diverse styles including rock, blues, and jazz. The album’s pop-rock structure is characterized by orchestral arrangements and bluesy saxophone influences, which Cremonini noted as a pursuit of “sonic freedom.” He characterized the creative process as building a “team of superheroes” to transition into this new musical era. The album includes several high-profile collaborations: the title track with Salmo explores psychoanalytical themes; ‘Paparazzi’ features an unreleased verse from Fabri Fibra; Malika Ayane is featured on ‘Cose molto piccole’; and SIG appears on ‘Disturbo mentale’. A central concept is the character ‘SIG’, a musician wearing a golden skull mask inspired by Damien Hirst and Carmelo Bene, representing the complexities of the human ego. Following a live presentation at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on October 20—which featured guests Salmo, Fabri Fibra, and Malika Ayane—Cremonini is set to embark on the ‘AMATOUR 2026’ arena tour. The tour is scheduled to begin on November 24 in Ancona, visiting 16 venues across Italy, including stops in Bologna, Torino, and Milano, before concluding at the Unipol Forum in Assago in December. ## Claims - Cesare Cremonini announced the tracklist for his new album, Amateur.
