Assane Diao, a 21-year-old Senegalese winger playing for the Italian club Como, has become a target for several Premier League teams. Manchester United has reportedly led the pursuit of the player after scouts observed him during Serie A matches.

Como, which signed Diao from Real Betis in January 2025, is reportedly unwilling to accept offers below 50 to 55 million euros, despite a market valuation of approximately 35 million euros, due to his contract running until June 2029.

Liverpool FC has also emerged as a potential suitor. The club is reportedly seeking a natural right-winger to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah as part of a broader squad restructuring following Salah’s departure.
