Sources: 7. Developments: 2. The New Orleans Saints have dealt with various player injuries throughout the early part of the season. In mid-September, wide receiver Chris Olave was listed as questionable for a matchup against the Baltimore Ravens due to a hamstring injury, though reports indicated his limited practice participation was a “precautionary measure.” During that same period, running back Alvin Kamara was expected to debut after recovering from an MCL sprain. By mid-October, ahead of a game against the New York Giants, the Saints' injury report expanded to include eleven players. Olave was noted as a nonparticipant due to illness, while Kamara was limited by a back injury. Other players listed as nonparticipants included Kaden Elliss, Anfernee Jennings, and Nathan Shepherd. As the matchup with the Giants approaches, the Saints continue to manage these roster challenges. Olave remains a nonparticipant due to illness, while Kamara continues to be a limited participant with a back injury. Additionally, linebacker Kaden Elliss is sidelined with a calf injury and edge rusher Anfernee Jennings is dealing with a knee injury. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-13: Giants and Saints face injury concerns ahead of matchup The New York Giants and New Orleans Saints face significant injury concerns ahead of their matchup, with the Giants managing absences for Abdul Carter and Andrew Thomas while relying on QB Jameis Winston. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/new-orleans-saints-and-new-york-giants-prepare-for-upcoming-matchup ### 2026-09-17: Chris Olave listed as questionable for Saints Week 2 matchup New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave is questionable for Week 2 with a hamstring injury, though reports suggest it is precautionary.
