Following the departure of Juan Pablo Vojvoda, Racing Club appointed Sebastián ‘Chirola’ Romero and Luciano Aued as interim managers to oversee the final six matches of the Clausura tournament.

As the club prepares for a new cycle in 2027, president Diego Milito is leading the search for a permanent head coach. Initial candidates under evaluation included Nicolás Diez and Guillermo Barros Schelotto, while others such as Eduardo Coudet, Luis Zubeldía, and Sebastián Beccacece reportedly declined interest.

As the search progressed, the club expanded its evaluation to include Diego Flores, currently of Instituto, and Javier Mascherano, following his tenure with Inter Miami. Despite these new names, Barros Schelotto and Diez remain priority targets for the club.
