Railway services in Italy have faced multiple suspensions due to weather-related damage and infrastructure failures.

In mid-October, a landslide triggered by bad weather in the Vietri sul Mare area caused the suspension of train services on the Naples-Salerno line between Nocera Inferiore and Salerno. Rete Ferroviaria Italiana and Trenitalia implemented bus replacement services to maintain connections, while local observers raised questions regarding the visibility of the debris and the immediate presence of technical crews.

Later in the month, further disruptions affected the Rome–Naples line via Formia and the Naples–Rome line via Cassino. These suspensions were caused by a water network failure between Maddaloni and Cancello, as well as heavy rainfall and mud accumulation between Sezze Romano and Priverno. Trenitalia responded by diverting regional trains and activating bus services, warning passengers of significant delays and increased travel times.
