Authorities in Germany are investigating multiple incidents of suspected animal cruelty and welfare violations.

In Heidelberg-Boxberg, police launched a criminal investigation following the death of a four-month-old male cat. Rescue workers reported the animal was found in critical condition, and investigators are looking into potential sexual violence after traces of sperm were discovered. The animal welfare organization PETA has offered a 1,000 euro reward for information.

In separate cases, police are investigating the death of a black male cat found hanging from a structure in Wolfach-Kirnbach, with an autopsy pending to determine the cause of death. Additionally, in the Bischofsgrün area near Bayreuth, authorities are seeking witnesses after two black cats were found abandoned at a forest edge near a tool bag, which investigators believe may have been used to transport the animals.
