The 10th Ceará International Dance Biennial, themed ‘De Par em Par’, has launched across seven municipalities in the state of Ceará. The event features 44 attractions and 65 performances, including participants from various Brazilian states and guest groups from France and Belgium. Programming includes workshops, seminars, and exhibitions, with initial performances held in the Cariri region and official openings scheduled for Fortaleza. The biennial has since arrived in Canoa Quebrada, offering free contemporary dance performances and popular culture manifestations at locations such as the Circo Escola and local cliffs. It is scheduled to continue through November 1 in Baturité, Guaramiranga, and Fortaleza.

Additionally, the seventh edition of the QXAS – Festival de Fotografia do Sertão Central, themed ‘O que a Terra não Esquece’ (What the Earth Does Not Forget), is scheduled for October 28 to 31 in Quixadá and Quixeramobim. This festival includes exhibitions, lectures, and photo walks, and this year’s edition honors photographers Elza Lima, Telma Saraiva, and Antônio Francisco de Oliveira.

Further cultural programming in the state includes the 12th International Circus Festival of Ceará, which is hosting the ‘Luz no Picadeiro’ program. This initiative offers free workshops, debates, and practical training in circus techniques, such as juggling, trapeze, and clowning, across several cities including Fortaleza, Paracuru, Itapipoca, and Aracati through November 28.
