Water infrastructure projects are underway in Croatia and Serbia to improve supply stability and quality.

In Croatia, construction of the Jadro drinking water purifier in Majdan has reached an advanced stage. The project, funded by European Union grants, aims to provide high-quality water to approximately 250,000 residents in Split, Solin, and surrounding areas to mitigate turbidity issues caused by heavy rainfall. While over half of the work is complete, officials noted that the project may result in a roughly 20 percent increase in water fees for local residents.

In Serbia, JKP Vodovod – Kruševac is executing a project valued at over 48 million dinars to connect the Jastrebac excursion site to the regional Ćelije water supply system. Following the completion of initial reservoir works, subsequent phases will include building additional reservoirs, a pumping station, and integrating remote monitoring through a SCADA system.
