A series of fires involving waste containers has been reported in Germany. On October 16, a trash container fire at a school in Eberbach caused significant damage, including soot and flame damage to the building facade and smoke infiltration throughout the interior. Authorities estimated losses in the low six-figure range.

By late October, police in Bielefeld began investigating a series of intentional fires targeting waste containers and bins in the city center. These incidents, which began around October 23, affected various locations including residential areas and school grounds. On October 31, a fire involving three waste containers and a cooling container occurred at the Lindener Turm. Authorities suspected the blaze may have been caused by fireworks, though firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby buildings or Christmas market stalls.
