Sources: 38. Developments: 2. The Chicago Bears acquired All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans in a major trade. To secure the 29-year-old, Chicago sent 2027 and 2028 first-round draft picks and a 2027 fourth-round pick to Tennessee, receiving a 2028 fifth-round selection in return. Simmons, a four-time Pro Bowler, joins the Bears to bolster their interior defensive line and support a Super Bowl run. General manager Ryan Poles noted that Simmons brings high-intensity leadership and accountability to the team. The trade is noted as a historic moment, as Simmons is the first defensive tackle since 1967 to be traded for multiple first-round picks. Simmons, who led all defensive tackles with 28 pressures earlier this season, is expected to create more opportunities for edge rusher Montez Sweat. The Titans, holding a 1-7 record, accepted the offer to accelerate their rebuilding process. Following the trade, Tennessee coach Robert Saleh noted the team’s resilience as they move forward without their star defensive player. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-31: Chicago Bears acquire All-Pro DT Jeffery Simmons in blockbuster trade The Chicago Bears acquired All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for multiple high-value draft picks, including two first-rounders. 12 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/chicago-bears-defensive-tackle-jeffery-simmons-joins-team ### 2026-10-28: Chicago Bears acquire All-Pro Jeffery Simmons in blockbuster trade The Chicago Bears acquired All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick. 35 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/chicago-bears-acquire-jeffery-simmons-from-tennessee-titans --- Cite as: Chicago Bears acquisition of Jeffery Simmons.
