Preparations for the 2027 Ryder Cup in Limerick, Ireland, have moved into community engagement and countdown phases.

Ryder Cup Europe established a Local Impact and Legacy Fund to support the host region. The fund offers grants of up to €20,000 to local organizations focusing on areas such as community, skills, education, environment, disability, or regeneration. A steering committee including representatives from the European Tour Group and the Limerick City and County Council will oversee the allocation of these funds.

Following the fund announcement, Team Europe captain Luke Donald and Team USA captain Jim Furyk participated in ‘Year to Go’ celebrations in Limerick. These activities included a public Q&A session at King John’s Castle and a community visit to Rathbane Golf Club. During the visit, the captains mentored young athletes and donated 50 sets of golf clubs to the facility.
