The 34th edition of the Arab Music Festival, organized by the Egyptian Opera House, has addressed various rumors regarding its performer lineup. Management for singer Ehab Tawfik clarified that he would not participate due to scheduling conflicts, while festival director Mohamed El Mougy dismissed reports of a crisis regarding singer Amal Maher, confirming her official inclusion in the lineup.

Named after the ‘Prince of Arabic Singing’ Hany Shaker, the festival’s opening night was dedicated to honoring him. The programming features a diverse roster, including performances by Nadia Mostafa, Khaled Selim, Ghada Ragab, Mohamed El Helou, and Hanin El Shater. Additionally, the Arab Music Institute has hosted Syrian artist Waad Al-Bahri and the Takht Al-Arabi ensemble.

Beyond musical performances, the event includes a documentary screening titled ‘Musician of Renewal,’ which examines the career of the late composer Mohamed El Mougy. The festival also features the Dr. Ratiba El Hefni Arabic Singing Competition for youth aged 17 to 40, designed to support emerging talent. The 11-day event includes 24 concerts and a scientific conference involving researchers from 15 countries.
