Sources: 24. Developments: 2. Rapper and producer 50 Cent has publicly disputed his professional relationship with Courtney Kemp, the creator of the Starz series ‘Power’. 50 Cent claimed that Kemp downplayed his contributions to the show’s success, specifically regarding his role in pitching the series and providing music. He further alleged that Kemp mismanaged budgets and attempted to influence the network’s direction. In response, Kemp described 50 Cent’s claims regarding budget and production as ‘uninformed’, noting that he was rarely present in budget meetings. While she acknowledged his importance in the ‘genesis of Power’, she denied understating his role and expressed bewilderment that he chose to address these matters in interviews. The dispute has since escalated. In an interview with Variety, 50 Cent stated he does not look forward to working with Kemp again, reiterating that his music and pitching efforts were instrumental to the series. The conflict moved to social media when 50 Cent made personal allegations on Instagram, suggesting Kemp had engaged in inappropriate conduct with cast and crew members, though he provided no evidence for these claims. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-18: 50 Cent and ‘Power’ creator Courtney Kemp clash over series credit 50 Cent and ‘Power’ creator Courtney Kemp are in a public dispute over creative credit and production management, with the rapper making personal allegations against the showrunner on social media. 18 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/50-cent-disputes-credit-with-power-creator-courtney-kemp ### 2026-10-13: 50 Cent describes feud with Rick Ross as entertainment 50 Cent says his decades-long feud with Rick Ross is for entertainment, citing Ross's past work as a corrections officer. 7 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/50-cent-describes-feud-with-rick-ross-as-entertainment --- Cite as: 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp professional dispute.
