Following the September 11 toll increases on the A2 motorway section between Konin and Nowy Tomyśl, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has initiated efforts to streamline traffic flow. GDDKiA has contracted Strabag to demolish unused toll collection points in Żdżary, Kole, and Dąbie.

Major expansion projects are also progressing on the A2. Strabag has signed a 344.8 million PLN contract to widen the motorway between the Łódź and Mazowieckie provincial borders and Grodzisk Mazowiecki. This represents the third of four planned contracts for the Łódź-Warsaw expansion, a project estimated to cost nearly 1.5 billion PLN to accommodate up to 100,000 vehicles daily.

Other regional infrastructure developments include construction on the A1 motorway between Stanisławie and Swarożyn, which will cause lane restrictions and the temporary closure of the Tczewa exit for approximately four weeks. Additionally, the A4 motorway's Kraków-Katowice section is approaching a management transition; following the expiration of a 30-year concession in March 2027, GDDKiA will take over management, at which point tolls for vehicles under 3.5 tons will be abolished.
