A24 has expanded the marketing campaign for Jeremy Saulnier’s horror-action thriller ‘Slayground’, previously titled ‘October’. Following initial teasers and the launch of the viral website runlikehell.com, the studio released a teaser trailer featuring surveillance-style footage of a haunted house attraction.

Reports regarding the plot suggest the story follows a character named Michael, played by Cory Michael Smith, who is found at the scene of a mass-casualty event at the attraction. After escaping police custody, he goes on the run to clear his name. The ensemble cast includes Imogen Poots, James Badge Dale, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, Young Mazino, Stephen Root, and Matty Matheson.

A full trailer has since been released, revealing that the film features a score composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and has an approximate runtime of 2.5 hours. While a digital countdown on the promotional site previously pointed toward October 20, 2026, the film is now scheduled for theatrical release on January 29, 2027.
