ABB has entered into a strategic partnership and a minority investment in LevelTen Energy, a U.S.-based marketplace for clean-energy transactions. The collaboration is designed to enhance ABB’s energy and carbon advisory services by integrating renewable-energy procurement capabilities.

Through this partnership, ABB aims to assist industrial and commercial customers in securing long-term, affordable clean electricity and managing decarbonization goals. The initiative combines ABB’s expertise in electrification and digital energy management with LevelTen’s platform, which has facilitated over 20 GW of transactions across more than 35 markets in North America and Europe. The platform supports various transaction types, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), energy storage agreements, and energy attribute certificates.

Stuart Thompson, ABB’s President of Electrification Services, noted that customers face increasing pressure to reduce carbon footprints while managing energy costs and reliability. He stated that LevelTen provides a “straightforward way to lock in long-term clean power at the right price.” The deal is intended to support end-to-end renewable-energy planning, implementation, optimization, and reporting, while aligning with evolving regulatory expectations for granular clean-energy sourcing.
