Sources: 4. Developments: 2. Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz secured promotion to the top tier of Polish speedway following the 2026 season. This achievement follows two previous unsuccessful attempts to reach the elite league. To strengthen the squad for the upcoming PGE Ekstraliga season, the club finalized its roster with the loan acquisition of 20-year-old Danish rider Bastian Pedersen from PRES Grupa Deweloperska Toruń. Negotiations for Pedersen, the nephew of three-time world champion Nicki Pedersen, reportedly took place during the PGE Ekstraliga Gala. While President Jerzy Kanclerz did not officially disclose financial terms, reports suggest the total cost, including the loan fee and signing bonus, is approximately 700,000 PLN, following efforts to negotiate the initial demand down from 450,000 PLN to roughly 350,000 PLN. Pedersen is intended to provide depth and security against potential relegation by forming a junior duo with Maksymilian Pawełczak. The completed Bydgoszcz squad also includes Szymon Woźniak, Krzysztof Buczkowski, Max Fricke, Ryan Douglas, and Wiktor Przyjemski. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-25: Polonia Bydgoszcz completes squad for PGE Ekstraliga Polonia Bydgoszcz has completed its PGE Ekstraliga roster by securing Danish junior Bastian Pedersen on loan from Toruń. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/abramczyk-polonia-bydgoszcz-signs-bastian-pedersen ### 2026-10-20: Polish speedway: Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz earns promotion to elite league Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz has secured promotion to the top Polish speedway league, while Fogo Unia Leszno faces roster changes and uncertainty regarding Janusz Kołodziej's future. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/polish-speedway-abramczyk-polonia-bydgoszcz-earns-promotion-to-elite-league --- Cite as: Abramczyk Polonia Bydgoszcz speedway promotion and roster.
