AC Milan’s tactical direction and recent high-profile signings are facing increased scrutiny under manager Ruben Amorim. While defender Mario Gila continues to receive praise for his technical solidity and defensive impact, the performance of €70 million signing Gonçalo Ramos remains a central point of debate.

Following his move from Paris Saint-Germain, Ramos has struggled with a low goal tally. While his work rate and contribution to the attacking structure are noted, former goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano suggested that Ramos’s effectiveness is limited by the team’s ball possession, noting he might thrive in a system more similar to Juventus. Former defender Fulvio Collovati added that Ramos is not a traditional ‘20-30 goal’ striker, but rather a player who contributes to build-up play and team structure.

Journalist Luca Serafini reported that Amorim is focused on establishing a core starting eleven to shape the club’s philosophy. Amidst these tactical shifts, club owner Gerry Cardinale has reportedly become more hands-on in overseeing operations following recent challenges.
