During the annual Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage, multiple transport accidents involving devotees have been reported in different regions of India.

In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, a truck struck a group of pilgrims near the Saryu River bridge, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old man and leaving another in critical condition. 

Later in the month, a tractor-trolley carrying approximately 30 pilgrims fell off a bridge in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. The accident, reportedly caused by steering failure, injured 20 people, with several remaining in serious condition.
