Initial criticism focused on the club’s leadership, with journalist Alfredo Pedullà targeting director Fabio Paratici and Alessandro Ferrari, arguing the club lacked the strategic direction previously established by Rocco Commisso and the late Joe Barone. Pedullà has characterized the club’s administrative choices as “incomprehensible,” specifically noting that Paratici’s solo management is less effective than his previous work alongside Marata. Technical challenges intensified following a 2-1 defeat against Genoa. Analyst Giuseppe Pastore described the team as “disastrous in every department,” citing defensive errors and structural issues in squad construction. Following a 3-1 defeat against Como on October 18, 2026, coach Paolo Vanoli emphasized the need for improved clinical finishing. This loss, which saw goals from Liberali, Nikos Pas, and Tasos Douvikas for Como, left Fiorentina in a precarious position. Recent performances have increased pressure on the coaching staff. Following a defeat at San Siro, analyst Alberto Polverosi noted that despite creating numerous opportunities, the team conceded two goals during stoppage time. Polverosi identified the summer transfer market as a recurring issue, suggesting that unmet expectations in recruitment have contributed to the struggle to distance the club from the relegation zone. Amidst these tactical imbalances, Vanoli has addressed individual player development, noting that while Cher Ndour has shown tactical and physical growth, the player must maintain his work ethic and improve clinical finishing. ## Claims - The match is taking place at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
