Acronis has undergone a leadership restructuring with the appointment of Prakash Panjwani as Chief Executive Officer. Panjwani, formerly the CEO of WatchGuard Technologies and SafeNet, succeeds Jan-Jaap ‘JJ’ Jager, who will continue as a shareholder.

Panjwani’s mandate involves driving the company’s next growth phase by integrating cybersecurity, data protection, infrastructure management, and service automation into a single platform, specifically targeting the Managed Service Provider (MSP) market. 

In a subsequent update to the leadership team, Gerald Caron was also appointed as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to oversee global security strategy, compliance, governance, and incident response.
