Acura has introduced the Nexera Vision, a two-seat concept coupe debuted at Monterey Car Week to establish a new visual identity for the brand during its 40th anniversary.

Directed by Yasutake Tsuchida, the concept features a matte titanium finish, butterfly doors, and active aerodynamics. A primary technological highlight is “phantom lighting,” which allows LED headlights and taillights to remain invisible within the bodywork until they are illuminated. These ultrathin lights are inspired by the brand’s “A” emblem.

While the Nexera Vision is a design study rather than a production vehicle—and is not intended as a direct production successor to models like the S2000—its aesthetic elements and use of sustainable materials, such as “CircuLeather,” are intended to influence future models. The brand expects the fourth-generation RDX Hybrid, slated for 2028, to be the first production vehicle to incorporate this new design language.

At the 2026 Monterey Car Week, the Nexera Vision was showcased alongside other significant automotive debuts and record-breaking auction activity. The event saw total auction sales reach approximately $748 million, driven by a “K-shaped market” where ultra-rare vehicles command massive premiums.
