# ADHD and addiction awareness initiatives in Spain

Community health associations in Spain have launched various initiatives to promote awareness regarding addiction and ADHD. In Torrelavega, the AMAT-Afrontando Adicciones association conducted its 39th annual march to support recovery and fund prevention programs. Concurrently, the El Puente TDAH association organized a community day in Puente Genil to educate the public and build volunteer networks.

To mark National ADHD Day on October 27, 2026, the TDAH Minerva association established an information point in the Latina District as part of a pilot project for local ADHD resources. This campaign, supported by the Spanish Federation of Associations for Help with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity (FEAADAH), included public buildings being illuminated in orange to highlight the needs of the estimated 4.2 million people affected by the disorder.
