Other regional efforts include the ‘Vigo en Marcha contra el Cáncer’ event planned for October 18 in Vigo. Organized by the AECC and the Vigo City Council, the event offers a competitive 10K race, a non-competitive 5K run, and a 5K walk to promote healthy lifestyles and psychosocial support. In Badajoz, the XIII Badajoz Against Cancer Solidarity Race, held in tribute to Antonio Pérez, has surpassed 500 registrations. Scheduled for September 13, the event includes a 10-kilometer race, a 5-kilometer walk, and children's races. Over its twelve editions, the initiative has raised more than 54,000 euros for the AECC in Badajoz. Additionally, the Association Unidos Contra el Cáncer de Toro y Provincia de Zamora held its Maratón del Euro in Toro, directing 220,500 euros to research projects. Further fundraising includes a solidarity challenge by acrobat Josué Jaime Brosjaca and the group Planeta Movimiento, aiming to raise 100,000 euros through a 50-day tour across 50 Spanish provinces. In San Esteban de la Sierra, the community held its first solidarity march against cancer.
