Aerosmith has announced a return to live performance with two special concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, titled ‘California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends’. The shows are scheduled for October 29 and November 1, 2026.

This comeback follows the band’s 2024 retirement announcement, which was prompted by a serious vocal cord injury sustained by frontman Steven Tyler in 2023. These events mark the band’s first full performances since that injury and are being presented as independent celebrations of their five-decade legacy rather than the commencement of a new tour.

The events will feature a rotating lineup of guest artists, including Slash, Run-DMC, Heart, The Black Crowes, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Tom Morello, and Chad Smith, with Don Was serving as music director. Other confirmed participants include Duff McKagan and Eric Church. While these performances mark a significant return to the stage, the announcement does not include a new tour or international dates. The specific lineups for each night are expected to vary, with additional surprise guests to be announced closer to the dates. Ticket pre-sales are scheduled to begin on October 8, with general sales starting on October 10.
