This match, which featured a red card for Sunderland defender Kevin Danso, moved Bournemouth out of the relegation zone. Bournemouth continued their momentum by defeating Leeds United 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium. This win marked their sixth consecutive victory across all competitions and propelled the club to seventh place in the Premier League standings. The match was decided in the 31st minute when a significant error by Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford, who attempted a short pass to Ao Tanaka that was intercepted by Justin Kluivert, allowed Evanilson to score. Although Leeds United initially showed promise, a goal by Dominic Calvert-Lewin was disallowed by VAR for a handball. Bournemouth extended their lead in stoppage time through Amine Adli, following an assist from Eli Junior Kroupi. This victory also highlighted a strong defensive run for Bournemouth, which has recorded five consecutive clean sheets in all competitions. Conversely, the result extends a winless streak in league play to five matches for Leeds United. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-30: Bournemouth defeat Leeds United 2-0 in Premier League clash Bournemouth beat Leeds United 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium, fueled by an Evanilson goal and a costly error by Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford. 21 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/bournemouth-prepares-to-host-leeds-united-at-vitality-stadium ### 2026-10-18: AFC Bournemouth beat Sunderland 2-0 to secure first Premier League win AFC Bournemouth defeated 10-man Sunderland 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium, marking their first Premier League win of the season through goals from Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson. 11 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/bournemouth-defeat-sunderland-2-0-to-secure-first-premier-league-win --- Cite as: AFC Bournemouth Premier League performance.
