Public agencies, private industry, and veterinary professionals, led by SENASA, have established an agreement to strengthen biosecurity protocols within the poultry sector. This initiative aims to unify technical and administrative criteria to protect national sanitary status and support international exports. The framework includes strict measures for farm infrastructure, access controls, vehicle disinfection, and mandatory disease reporting by accredited veterinarians. Concurrently, the Federación Agraria Argentina (FAA) has advocated for a more comprehensive view of the province’s economy, noting that it extends beyond extensive crop farming. The FAA highlights a diverse matrix of livestock—including bovine, porcine, and ovine—alongside various crops, poultry, dairy, and forestry sectors. These activities are interconnected through value chains, such as the poultry sector’s reliance on local corn and soy for feed. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-27: Entre Ríos agricultural diversity drives integral economic vision The Federación Agraria Argentina advocates for recognizing the diverse agricultural and livestock sectors in Entre Ríos, moving beyond a simplified view of extensive crop farming. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/entre-ros-agricultural-diversity-drives-integral-economic-vision ### 2026-09-16: Entre Ríos poultry sector strengthens biosecurity protocols Authorities and industry leaders in Entre Ríos, Argentina, have agreed on new biosecurity protocols to protect the poultry sector and ensure international market competitiveness. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/entre-ros-poultry-sector-strengthens-biosecurity-protocols --- Cite as: Agricultural and livestock sector developments in Entre Ríos.
