Sources: 5. Developments: 2. The 7th Agrinio International Choir Festival is scheduled for October 2 and 3, 2026, at the Anesis Cinema in Agrinio, Greece. Organized by the Agia Skepi Spiritual Cultural Association in partnership with local municipalities and under the auspices of the Greek Ministries of Culture and Tourism, the event features approximately 25 to 27 choirs. Participants include nearly 800 singers, musicians, and conductors from various Greek regions as well as international Italian- and French-speaking groups. While admission is free, a shortage of local accommodation has led to the cancellation of three choir participations, requiring some attendees to stay in nearby areas such as Thermo, Messolonghi, and Amfilochia. Beyond the musical performances, the festival supports the ‘FLOGA’ Association, which assists parents of children with neoplastic diseases. In addition to the choral event, Agrinio will host the 8th Photopolis Festival from October 3 to 11, 2026. This festival will feature photography exhibitions, short film screenings, portfolio reviews, and discussions across various city locations, including the Old Municipal Market, Papastrateio Mansion, and the House of Lucie Agrinio. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-28: Agrinio to host international choral and photography festivals Agrinio will host the 7th International Choral Festival on October 2–3 and the 8th Photopolis Festival from October 3–11, featuring international choirs and diverse photography exhibitions. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/agrinio-to-host-7th-international-choral-festival ### 2026-09-25: Agrinio International Choir Festival returns for 7th edition The 7th Agrinio International Choir Festival will host nearly 800 participants from 27 choirs in Agrinio, Greece, on October 2-3, 2026, despite local accommodation shortages. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/agrinio-international-choir-festival-returns-for-7th-edition --- Cite as: Agrinio International Choir and Photopolis Festivals.
