Air Algérie is expanding its long-haul fleet through a modernization program involving the acquisition of Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. 

As part of this rollout, the airline has introduced aircraft with special liveries designed to showcase Algerian national identity. One such aircraft, registration 7T-VLA, features designs of the Hoggar massif, the Tassili plateau, and the Sahara desert, alongside the fennec symbol and the slogan ‘One, Two, Three, Viva l’Algérie’. 

On September 16, 2026, the airline completed a successful four-hour test flight in Toulouse-Blagnac, France, for its sixth A330neo (temporary designation F-WWYF, destined for registration 7T-VJG). This fleet expansion is intended to increase passenger capacity by 70 to 120 seats on long-haul routes. A seventh A330neo is expected to be delivered by the end of 2026.
