Following a 30-24 loss to the Chicago Bears, wide receiver A.J. Brown addressed his limited production during the early weeks of the 2026 season. After being acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles, Brown has recorded nine receptions on 20 targets for 101 yards and no touchdowns.

In his second game returning from a high-ankle sprain, Brown recorded three receptions for 48 yards. He stated he is not frustrated by the lack of production, suggesting that opposing defenses are prioritizing his coverage, which he believes creates opportunities for teammates such as Hunter Henry and Eli Raridon.

While Brown emphasized his veteran understanding of how defensive attention can soften coverage, critics and fans have raised concerns regarding his efficiency, route running, and pass-blocking effort.
