The legacy of manga creator Akira Toriyama is being honored through various Dragon Ball projects. A commemorative initiative is showcasing rare documents, interviews, and illustrations, including character designs and historical manga chapters. The anime series Dragon Ball Daima, which serves as Toriyama’s final project, was released to mark the 40th anniversary of the franchise.

In recent developments, the former residence and Bird Studio of the artist in Kiyosu, Aichi Prefecture, are undergoing demolition. While official reasons are unconfirmed, reports suggest the decision may be linked to inheritance taxes or efforts to prevent neighborhood disturbances caused by fans and tourists. Bird Studio has transferred its registered address to Tokyo and remains active under the responsibility of Toriyama’s estate.
