Al Fateh FC appointed Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami as head coach following the mutual termination of Khaled Al-Atwi’s contract. Sellami, who previously led the Jordan national team, took over the position while the club sat 15th in the Saudi Pro League.

Following his appointment, the team suffered a 3-1 defeat against Al-Shabab in the eleventh round of the Roshn Saudi League. Sellami criticized the squad’s defensive vulnerabilities and described player Ziad Al-Jarri’s red card as “completely unacceptable,” suggesting disciplinary action would be necessary. The coach also defended his recent squad rotation decisions, citing technical reasons and player exhaustion, while noting that the upcoming international break would be used to address positional gaps.
