Al Jazeera is marking its 30th anniversary with a significant overhaul of its Arabic-language news services. To commemorate three decades since its launch on November 1, 1996, the Qatar-based network is introducing a three-channel structure. This reorganization is designed to separate rolling breaking news, live event broadcasting, and in-depth reporting.

As part of this transformation, the network is launching 33 new programmes to provide more detailed coverage and analysis. The anniversary was marked by a commemorative event at the network’s headquarters in Doha, attended by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and other delegates.
