ALDI announced plans to open its first supermarket in Poughkeepsie, New York, at the Mid Hudson Center. The 20,000-square-foot facility occupies space formerly used by Ocean State Job Lot.

Following a soft opening on October 21, the store held its official grand opening on October 22. To celebrate, the retailer hosted a ‘Golden Ticket’ giveaway for the first 200 customers, offering gift cards valued between $5 and $100 and eco-friendly shopping bags. The new location is intended to provide local residents with easier access to the retailer without traveling to other Hudson Valley areas.
