Mexican singer Aleks Syntek has navigated a period of public scrutiny following recent controversies. In late September, Syntek celebrated his 57th birthday amid social media discussions regarding his comments on reggaeton and a previous interaction with journalist Paola Rojas, for which he apologized. In his birthday communications, he addressed recent tensions with humor.

By early October, Syntek was confirmed to perform a free concert at the 2026 Chocolate Festival in Tabasco on November 15. This announcement follows a public disagreement during an Independence Day celebration in Mexico City, where Syntek had expressed a preference for performing for paying audiences rather than participating in free events. The Tabasco performance is part of his ‘Total Syntek Tour’, marking 35 years of his musical career.
