Reports emerged that Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic rejected a transfer to Manchester City during the summer window. Manchester City, seeking a successor to Rodri, was reportedly willing to pay up to €100 million for the player, with sporting director Hugo Viana leading the pursuit.

Pavlovic, who is under contract with Bayern Munich until 2029, chose to remain with his hometown club. He later stated that while the approach from Manchester City was an “honor,” the decision to stay in Munich was easy due to his deep roots in the city and his connection to FC Bayern. He noted that the comparisons to Rodri serve as motivation for his professional development.
